Packet Withdrawals

Packet Withdrawals

ISC recognizes that there are times when you have submitted a packet to ISC and then discovered a mistake in the packet or decided you do not want the packet processed. In response, we have introduced the ability to notify us and have the packet removed from our processing system, free of charge.

When Can a Packet Withdrawal Request Be Made?

You can request that your packet be withdrawn at anytime after the packet has been submitted, but before it has been registered.

Today's forecasted packet turnaround time is:

Land Titles Transactions: 2.5 business days

Who Can Request a Packet Withdrawal?

Only the submitting party can request that their packet be withdrawn. Before accepting a withdrawal request, ISC will conduct a search to confirm the submitting party and the client requesting the packet withdrawal are the same.

What is Required to Apply for a Packet Withdrawal?

When submitting a packet withdrawal request we ask that you supply:
  • Your name and company name
  • Packet number
  • Client number
We will do our best to notify you in situations where any of the required information may be missing so that you can resend your request.

How Do I Submit a Packet Withdrawal Request?

Packet withdrawal requests can be submitted either by faxing at (306) 964-1265 or by email to [email protected]

Does ISC Guarantee this Service?

No. The onus is on you to submit the withdrawal request to ISC as soon as possible. Once your request has been received we do a ‘best effort’ to ensure that your request is honored.

Pursuant to section 85(n) of The Land Titles Act, 2000, assurance compensation will not be available based on either the withdrawal of or the failure to withdraw a packet. If you have submitted a packet withdrawal  request, but your packet still registers, we will not reverse the registration, nor refund the registration fees for the packet.

Please note that turnaround time can also affect packet withdrawal requests. The shorter the turnaround time, the more difficult it becomes to catch the packets before they are processed.
